Lucknow Public Schools and Colleges, in their Vrindavan Yojna ,Sectot 9, Lucknow branch hosted the Inter School Model United Nations (MUN) event on November 23, 2023, inviting numerous schools across the city to engage in discussions on global issues. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 150 delegates and educators from Lucknow, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, and Madhaoganj Hardoi districts.
With a total of six committees like UNHCR, UNDP, ECOSOC, WHO, AIPPM and IP, the MUN focused on a spectrum of international issues, fostering in-depth debates and innovative solutions. The event aimed to cultivate critical thinking, diplomacy, and leadership skills among the participating students.
Prof. Manuka Khanna, currently serving as the Dean of Recruitment and Assessment, along with being the Head of the Political Science department at the University of Lucknow, was the Chief Guest. Prof. Khanna's insightful address encouraged the delegates, emphasizing the importance of global cooperation and understanding in addressing contemporary challenges.
The event culminated in a vibrant display of knowledge, eloquence, and teamwork displayed by the young minds, fostering a sense of global citizenship and a deeper understanding of international affairs among the participants.
